John specializes in acute musculo-skeletal injuries,

chronic spine and pelvis dysfunctions, pre and post-partum musculo-skeletal / visceral dysfunctions, benign vertigo, and global viscero-somatic dysfunctions.

 

He utilizes a global wellness approach to injury prevention, acute care and rehabilitation. He takes the time to educate the patient about their condition, develop corrective and preventative strategies, and employs wherever possible a manual therapeutic intervention. Exercises are often prescribed to enhance and maintain the treatment outcomes. John believes strongly in a multi-disciplinary approach and always considers the patient’s best interests.

He has over 20 years of clinical experience in the private and varsity settings.  He is a part-time faculty member at Concordia University (undergraduate courses in sports traumatology) as well as lectures at national and international sport medicine conferences. He is also the founding president of the Quebec Sports Medicine Council.                               

He has extensive experience with professional, elite and amateur athletes of all calibres. He is the national and olympic team  therapist and chair of  sports medicine and science committee for Judo Canada. He has worked as a member of the Canadian Medical Team on over 14 multi-sport games around the world including: World University Games’95-Japan, Paralympic Games ’96-Atlanta, Chief Therapist for the Francophone Games (Madagascar '97), Pan Am Games’99-Winnipeg, Olympic Games 2000-Sydney Australia, Francophone Games-2001 Hull, Commonwealth Games 2002- Manchester England, Chief Therapist Pan Am Games – Santo Domingo 2003 and Olympic Games 2004 – Athens.

Chantal Comeau

 Chantal utilizes an active hands-on approach with her treatments.

Her modalities include: exercise therapy, electro-therapy (acute care), manual therapy techniques.

She specializes in the extremities; especially shoulders and knees.

Chantal  is one of the national team therapists for Judo Canada & Quebec. Major games experience include: World Junior Judo Championship in Tunisia '00, Judo Europe Circuit '01 (Czech Republic, Poland), Tournoi de Paris '02, European Tour '02 (Bulgaria and Austria), World Junior Judo Championship in Korea '02, and many Canadian and American Championships.

She is also a CPR and First Aid instructor (IGS Security Academy) and trains nurse's assistants. Pertinent certifications include: Medical First Responder, Sports First Responder.

Isabelle Routhier

 Isabelle graduated from Concordia University in 2000 and became recognized by the CATA with her national certification in 2001. 

 

Presently, she is pursuing her 5th year in osteopathy at the CEO college in Montreal. She treats her clients by combining osteopathy,  with the therapeutic modalities and  exercise rehabilitation of Athletic Therapy.

Before joining our team, she gained experience with orthopaedic, back rehabilitation and sport injury care in a private Sport Medicine Clinic as well as at Dawson College.

Also certified as a Sport First Responder, Isabelle is one of the national team therapists for Judo Quebec and Canada. She has experience not only with judo, but also with soccer, football, basketball, gymnastic and paddling.

Games Experience: Korea & Japan Tournaments 2004, pre-Olympic training camp in Japan and Europe 2004, Pan Am Judo Championship 2003, Soccer Dynamites CPLS 2001, Junior World Football championship 2000, football Lynx 2000 and many soccer and basketball tournaments and leagues.
